Technical differences

Regular RC pile

  • Reinforced with deformed steel bars
  • Cast in formwork
  • Reaches full load capacity only when concrete fully cures

Prestressed concrete pile

  • Reinforced with high-tensile prestressing strands
  • Strands tensioned BEFORE concrete pour → creates initial compression in the pile
  • Carries load immediately upon release of tensioning
  • Greater resistance to cracking during transport and driving
